All Star Weekend

To start off all-star weekend the sophomores killed the rookies. The score was 155-114. David Lee got MVP with 30 points and Monta Ellis had 28. Chris Paul had 16 points and 17 assists. Deron Williams had 19 points and Raymond Felton had 17. Rudy Gay and Paul Millsap had 22 points each for the rookies. Adam Morrison had 16 points and Andre Bargnani had 12. Jason Kapono won the three point shootout with 24 threes in the final round. Dwayne Wade won the skills challenge with a time of 26.4 seconds. Team Detroit won the Heir shooting stars with Chauncey Billups, Bill Lamebeer, and Swin Cash. Nate Robinson and Gerald Green both did great but Gerald Green won the slam-dunk contest. Dick Bavetta raced Charles Barkley but lost. Charles Barkley finished by backpedaling. The West won the all-star game 153-132. Kobe Bryant got the MVP with 31 points, 6 assists, and 6 steals. Amare Stoudemire had 29 points and 9 rebounds. The West also set a record for the most assists without Steve Nash and Allen Iverson. Tracy McGrady had 8 points and 11 assists. LeBron James had 28 points to lead the east. He also had 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Dwight Howard had 20 points and 12 rebounds. The East only had the lead once and it was in the 1st quarter. The West dominated the rest of the game.
