Supersonics Devastate Jazz

January 13th, 2007 · No Comments

The Seattle Supersonics ruined the Utah Jazz. The game was 122-114 in overtime. Ray Allen, the shooting guard for the Sonics, had a career night with 54 points. Ray Allen hit deep three pointers, hard lay-ups, and flat-footed jumpers. He helped Seattle snap a six game losing streak. The Sonics were behind 102-93 after Mehmet Okur, the center for the Jazz, hit a jumper. There were 2:32 seconds left in the game and then Allen really went to work. Ray Allen drove for a lay-up and hit a free throw. Then he hit a deep three pointer. Chris Wilcox, the center for the Sonics, hit two free throws to make the score 102-101. Carlos Boozer, the power forward for the Jazz, dunked it but Chris Wilcox came right back and had a dunk of his own. The Sonics fouled Deron Williams, the point guard for the Jazz, and he hit two free throws. The score was now 106-103. Ray Allen drove down the court and swished a 27 foot three pointer with eight seconds left. The game then went into overtime and Seattle dominated the rest of the game.
