The Dallas Mavericks beat the Seattle SuperSonics 112 to 88. The game was tied at half time 55 to 55. In the third quarter Devin Harris and the rest of the Mavericks were determined to get easier shots instead of jumpers. They also wanted to play better defense on Ray Allen of the SuperSonics. To open the third quarter the Mavs went on an 11-2 run to make the score 66-57. Devin Harris and Greg Buckner were assigned to double up on Ray Allen. He had 19 of his 27 points in the first half. Going in to the fourth quarter it was 78-72 the Mavericks on top. At the start of the fourth quarter the Mavericks went on a 10-1 run to make the score 88-73. The Mavs kept pulling away more and more so the Sonics could never catch up. Dirk Nowitzki had 31 points and a season high 15 rebounds. Josh Howard had 21 points and 9 rebounds. Jason Terry had 18 points and Devin Harris had 16. The Mavericks are on an 11 game win streak and their season high is 12. We will see what happens but right now they are looking like the best team in the NBA.
