A recent survey of sportswriters who will be voting for the hall of fame think that Mark mcGwire isn’t a first ballot like it was once thought. A new critera was place on the ballot where a voter could consider character as an issue when they vote.
With Cal Ripken Jr and Tony Gwynn shoe in’s to make the hall, McGwire could be on the outside looking in. His stats are easily good enough for hall inclusion but his testimony in front of America left a lasting impression on the voters it looks like.
