Many people were wondering why Butler would enter a tournament with the likes of Indiana, Tennessee,Gonzaga, and Notre Dame. It’s real simple they planned on winning it and that’s just what they did. The team no one thought had a chance pu;;ed the major upset Of Gonzaga 79-71 to capture the NIT championship in Madison square Garden.
This may not seem like alot right now, but it goes along way when you start league and tournament play. The bulldogs know they can play with the best teams around and all this does is give them more confidence to have a great season. Remember the name Butler Bulldogs you could hear it alot this season.
