Last week a fan called Dikembe Mutombo a name which got him banned for one full year from any league game. I won’t use the word he did as it’s very disrespectful and has no place in the sport of basketball or any other sport. The fan was heckling players and he thought he could get under players skin. That’s not the way you do it though.
The NBA and other organizations need to reign in some of these fans as they are getting out of control. It seems to be getting more and more bolder and we need to stop it right now before it goes farther and confrontations are the only choice for the players.
