If the San Diego Padres planned on winning the divisional series with the St. Louis Cardinals than letting Albert Pujols launch a bomb off you wasn’t the way to go. Towards the end of the season the Cardinals looked like a team who didn’t want to be in the playoffs. Everything changed today with one swing of the bat.
Albert Pujols made sure of that with a two run homer. The Padres have now lost 8 straight playoff games and they hope David Wells can get a win in Game 2. The Padres can afford to go down 2-1.
