Trevor Hoffman may seem unassuming until he takes the field. Running in to AC/DC Hell’s Bell’s he has carved a niche that no many relievers have before.
Hoffman is quiet and doesn’t ask for alot of press. All he does is show up and save the game for you. You can’t ask for anything more than that. Last night Hoffman got his 478 save tying Lee Smith on the all-time list.
Look for Hoffman to pass that record very soon. If the padres get to the playoffs look to hear Hell’s Bell’s alot more often.
