The NBA Basketball season isn’t to far off so I decided to give my readers a headup on the upcoming season. Today, we will look at the Boston Celtics.
Gone our the glory days when championships were commonplace. Really since the retirement of Larry Bird the Boston Celtics have been medicore at best. Deaths to stars like Len Bias and Reggie Lewis has not helped any either. this years team will rely on Paul Pierce again this year. pierce is one of the better players in the NBA. The real question is who will step up and help Paul Pierce lead the Celtics this year.
The Celtics drafted some players who may see some playing time early in the year. Rajon Rondo is a guard from Kentucky who handles the ball well but I just don’t think he will score alot in the NBA. Good role player though.
Kevin Pittsnogle a center out of Pittsburgh could bring some help for the Celtics as they really haven’t had a true center since Robert Parrish retired a few years ago. The two players who may help Pierce will come from Wally Szczerbiak and Sebastian Telfair. both off these players have the talent to do it. The question is will they be able to step up and help Pierce.
My prediction is the Celtics have enough talent to make the playoffs, but will not go very far in the playoffs.
