Minnesota and Oakland were two teams that I thought I wouldn’t be writing about this time of the season. The facts are these are two of the hottest teams in baseball right now. The Twins are only 4 1/2 games out and sitting pretty with a good number of home games left.
Oakland has been hotter than a firecracker in August and continues to play well. They should easily win their division as nothing really in that division to threaten them. Two small market clubs are doing well and that should tell Boston and New York it’s not what you spend but how you spend it.
