Maurice Clarett had his bond set in court today at 5 million dollars as now he has become a flight risk and no one really trusts him anymore. People have asked me why does anyone care what happens to Clarett or his future and thats a very good question which I pondered today.
Clarett was a promising football player who seem to have it all at ohio State. he just won a national championship and was on top of the world. Then he got some real bad advice to challenge the NFL’s early entry into the draft. This started his downward spiral that he hasn’t really recovered from yet.
So, why do we care? It’s real simple he’s a young man we wanted to see do well and he has failed at every attempt he has tried. WE as people always want to see the good side to people and sometimes sports stars make the wrong moves and cost them dearly. Clarett has done that, but that doesn’t mean we stop caring and hoping one day he does right. Maybe this is a wakeup call for mMaurice. I hope so.
