Phil Mickelson was in the giving mood sunday as he double bogey the 18th hole to give the U.S. Open championship to Geoff Ogilvy. Ogilvy was more than happy to receive it from Phil. Phil played some great golf but Phil just tried to me to much of a hero instead of playing it safe he wanted to go for it all and it cost him. Sometimes you win by the sword and sometimes you die by the sword. This time Phil died by the sword.
I’m sure he has learn from this and won’t repeat that again. Well at least we hope he won’t.

Well-said. And I think that, yes, Mickelson will have learned from this oh-so-fatal mistake. If he had just played it safe, he had the Open, but he didn’t.
