J.J. Redick was named player of the year which really wasn’t unexpected as he help lead Duke to a number one ranking this year. Redick set many records this year and is well deserving of the award. Personally I felt Adam Morrison deserved it more for a number of reasons. Redick did have the advantage of always playing on national television where Morrison didn’t.
Having a guy like Shelden Williams on your team takes some of the burden off you where Morrison really didn’t have a player of Williams’s caliber on his team. In the end though whoever they choose would have been a great pick I just thought Morrison was more deserving.
