Mike Schmidt the legendary home run hitter who plays with the Philadelphia Phillies thinks Mark McGwire should get in on the first ballot. White Raffy shouldn’t get in on a first ballot because of what happen the past year with him. First, of all I have a lot of respect for Mike Schmidt and loved him as a player but I can’t agree with him on this one at all.
If you banish Pete Rose for betting on baseball and you know Mark McGwire and Raffy have cheated than there numbers are real. They didn’t earn them on the field like Rose did. Rose did comprise what he did on the field he did it off the field. Mark McGwire had a chance to stand up and tell the truth and he ducked it just like Rose did. His numbers will always be in question and in my mind not a first ballot player for the Hall Of Fame.
