This story about the NHL hockey gambling ring is getting uglier by the day as the Newark Star ledger is reporting, citing law enforcement officials who has seen the contents of wire taps that Wayne Gretzky knew of the gambling ring and his wife’s part in it. For Wayne I hope this report is false.
The Great one has had such a great image in the sport and to get it tarnished this way would be a sad ending to it all. Gretzky has done so much for hockey and this will bring up a multitude of questions that people will want to be answered. There are no winners in this story only losers it seems. The NHL looks like it could get another black eye.
