Cristobel Huet knows why teams carry two goalies just in case one is struggling; you always need to have a backup plan. Luckily for the Montreal Canadians Huet is a great backup plan. Huet stopped 25 shots for his second shutout of the season to give the Canadians a 5-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Michael Ryder got his first career hat trick to help the Canadians cause against the flyers.
Huet lowered his goals against average to 2.47 and his save percentage now stands at .925. It did help when the flyers for the most part didn’t get to many shots until the final period. Anytime you only get 25 shots it makes it a lot easier for the goaltender.
