A Houston Rocket has the number one selling jersey in China, and it’s not who you may think. While Yao Ming hails from China his jersey has to take a back seat to his running partner in Houston Tracy McGrady. McGrady outsells Yao Ming even in his own country. Many thought on this say that’s not logical. I say if you think about it, why not.
McGrady is more flashy and Yao being so tall makes it hard for kids of china to dream about being Yao. Kids tend to be smaller and love to immulate someone closer to there size. When Jordan was king of the court everyone wanted a Jordan jersey and not a Patrick Ewing jersey. I’m sure Yao sells a fair number though.
