Today’s buzz word in the NFL is expanding the playoffs to more teams so teams with ten wins can get into the playoffs. This is an interesting proposition and both sides have their points to why we should or why we shouldn’t. I personally like the format we have now, but I don’t like where two divisional winners have to play and the other two get byes.
Many people will wonder about my reasoning for this. Some divisional leaders have easier schedules than other teams. For example the Seattle Seahawks have three teams in St.Louis,Arizona, and San Francisco are not really good teams. This gives Seattle 6 easy wins, where as the carolina Panthers have two teams in Atlanta and Tampa Bay are usually good teams.
Maybe adding two teams would be better with no teams getting any breaks. Making everyone play makes it a more level playing field and teams who wins their division would get a home game. No matter how you do it, people will never be happy because there team got slighted.
