Hassan Adams and Brandon Roy wanted to put on a show for the crowd and neither one disappointed us. Adams had a career high 32 points which included eight points in two overtimes to trump Brandon Roy and his 35 points as Arizona stunned Washington in two overtimes 96-95.Washington also had there 32 game home winning streak come to a crashing end to.
The game went back and forth with each team having chances too win in regulation but not able to do so. Arizona had been struggling and wanted to prove to people they weren’t as bad as people thought. Lute Olsen knew they were better than what they have played and the Arizona players had something to prove and boy did they.
Lute Olsen also collected his 750 th career victory, but it wasn’t easy as he had to make a passionate pep talk at halftime to get them motivated for the second half. Whatever he said he needs to bottle it and sell it as it gives very potent results. If you don’t believe me just ask Washington, who had there streak end. Gonzaga now has the longest home winning streak.
