Now if you listen to everybody that’s suppose to be in the know than U.S.C. is going for there three NCAA college football championships in a row. I’m not ever going to dispute that the Trojans aren’t a very good team because they are. There is one team everyone has forgotten during the Trojans run. Does anyone remember the LSU Tigers?
Yes, these are the same LSU Tigers who were the 2003 BCS Champions. U.S.C. was only the AP champion which people seem to forget. U.S.C. and LSU shared the championship but the Tigers have been pushed back and no one ever talks about them. It’s always about U.S.C. going for three straight National Championships. I’m here to say LSU should also be mention to as they were the 2003 BCS champions.
It doesn’t help the ratings and the thrill of the U.S.C. and Texas clash to mention LSU during the Trojans run. If you talk to any of the current of former LSU players, they will tell you how much they wished they could have played U.S.C. two years ago. I guess unless we finally get a playoff format teams that share a crown will be pushed to the back burner for the story that brings the ratings. It’s to bad as LSU worked hard for their championship to.

Ken,
If LSU had won the 2004 title, they’d be mentioned as a team going for 3 straight titles, too. It’s not as though mention of USC’s AP title excludes LSU from the discussion, or diminishes LSU’s legitimacy from ‘03.
